Health Surveillance
Introduction
Health Surveillance is a recognised part of Health & Safety legislation. For the High Speed Craft (HSC) community it is a requirement of the EU Physical Agents Directive which controls exposure to Whole Body Vibration (WBV) and Repeated Shocks (RS). An appropriate Health Surveillance system will assist in:
- Reducing the risk of injury.
- Demonstrating the employers/operators duty-of-care.
STResearch Ltd (STR) has developed a Health Surveillance system, known as H-SURV™, specifically designed for HSC operations and addresses the requirements of the EU Whole Body Vibration legislation. The H-SURV™ System includes the following components:
- Support to the employers administrative requirements of the legislation.
- Boat motion monitoring.
- Crew health status monitoring.
- Support to medical assessments.
- Fitness standards & training.
Please contact STR at the address shown below for further information and to discuss how H-SURV™ can be tailored to support your HSC operations.
